The DVR includes a built-in 1TB HDD and supports FTP storage or Dropbox™ Cloud Storage to safeguard your data and push notifications to send alerts to your phone.
Watch live or playback video on your HDTV or LCD monitor via HDMI or VGA or log in remotely via your Apple or Anroid compatible Smartphone or Tablet using the free app.
Connecting your Smartphone is made easy using Peer-to-Peer (P2P) technology and scanning a QR code with the app.
A USB mouse is included to navigate the on-screen menus, and there is a second USB 2.0 port that allows you to save recordings to a USB thumb drive for sharing or viewing on other devices, as well as uploading firmware updates.
- Smartphone Viewing & Notification
There are key differences between NVR and DVRs. NVRs may have a higher cost, however can provide an easier install and higher quality images.
DVR (DIGITAL VIDEO RECORDER):• Uses coax cable to run video from the camera to the DVR
• 200m maximum camera maximum distance to DVR
• Each camera needs its own power source using a secondary cable between power supply and cameras using a splitter
• Cameras are analogue with the image processing done by the DVR
• Cheaper camera cost
NVR (NETWORK VIDEO RECORDER):• Uses common Ethernet cables to run video and power between the camera and DVR
• 100m maximum camera distance to DVR, but can be extended using PoE enabled Ethernet Router or Switch
• Power is provided from the DVR over Ethernet (PoE). No extra cabling.
• Modern homes and offices already have Ethernet running between rooms, which makes installation easier
• Cameras are digital with the images processed in the camera.
