The Video & Electronics Standard Association (VESA) has issued suggested standards for the attachment mounting systems for electronic visual displays also known as the Flat Display Mounting Interface. This is a family of standard defined by VESA for mounting flat panel monitors, TV's and other displays to stands or wall mounts, it is used on most modern flat-panel monitors and TV's. Whilst these standards are quite detailed the basic details of the standards involve the size of the display and the relevant spacing and sizing of the hole to mount the display.
